Antwort: Weil LibraryThing seine Daten aus so vielen verschiedenen Katalogen bezieht, kann es keine Namensschreibweise für einen Autor festlegen. "Zusammenführen mit" zeigt weitere Namensformen an und erlaubt, Namensvariationen zusammenzuführen. Die Werke werden dann ebenfalls zusammengeführt und alles ist wieder in Ordnung.
Frage: Kann ich den Eintrag auch mit einem Autor zusammenführen, der oben nicht vorgeschlagen wird?

Frage: Ich weiß das ein Autor getrennt gehört, aber jemand kombiniert ihn trotzdem! Kann ich einen Namen von der Kombinieren-Liste entfernen?

Aufgepasst! Alles im "Zusammenführen mit..."-Bereich hat jetzt einen Link zu "nie zusammenführen". Wende dieses Werkzeug vorsichtig an. "J.W. Göthe" ist vielleicht dämlich, aber der Schreibfehler sollte trotzdem mit "Johann Wolfgang von Goethe" kombiniert werden. "Johann Wolfgang von Goethe" und "Friedrich Schiller" hingegen nicht!
