One day, I'm going to actually cook recipes from cookbooks instead of just reading them straight.

Otherwise, a great blend of autobiography and recipes thematically relevant to the chapter. I picked this up at the library as part of my unofficial May-is-Asian-American-Pacific-Islander-Heritage-Month picks, but read it in a mad one-day dash on its due date. I'd actually forgotten Choi is the co-founder of the Kogi BBQ truck until around page 300 when he talks about it- surprisingly doesn't go into it that much. The biographical sections are good, though, and are a good parallel to the other "bad boy azn" chef [a:Eddie Huang|1709433|Eddie Huang|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1359702116p2/1709433.jpg] in going on a "rotten banana" path astray for a while before coming back to food.
