Charles Le Guin

I wanted to like this. Le Guin is, after all, married to my favorite writer. The story itself is good, but the writing is ponderous. All the characters speak in basically the same voice and the narrator is too good and wise and mature to be an actual 17-year-old. The editing is a bit slipshod, which I always find distracting. Perhaps one genius writer per family is the maximum allotment.
