Über mich
I'm one half of a father-and-son writing team...my son James is the other half. We are screenwriters, novelists and film producers, and to date have collaborated on three novels published in 2011/2012 by Sterling Gate Books. They include Fiji: A Novel, an historical adventure set in 19th Century Fiji; The Ninth Orphan, an international thriller and Book #1 in The Orphan Trilogy; and The Orphan Factory, Book #2.

We have adapted all three of our novels to feature film screenplays and are putting them into development with Morcan Motion Pictures. We set up our production company in 2009 to produce our own screenplays.

James, who is also an actor, is based in Sydney while I reside in New Zealand. It's fair to say a father-and-son writing team operating on opposite sides of the Tasman has its challenges – and is somewhat rare. Artistic disagreements are common. However, collaboration has its advantages – it's an automatic writers' buddy system and helps lift the standard of our work.
