Beschreibung:: Chozen-ji is a private temple and an active training monastery in the Rinzai Zen Buddhist tradition with a twist of Aloha. In addition to the traditional zen practices such as zazen, chanting and koans, they practice a variety of Japanese meditative arts: tea ceremony, flower arranging, calligraphy, ceramics, and martial arts including Kyudo (Japanese Zen Archery), Hojo and Kendo, Aikido. Because it is a training temple, visits are by appointment only. They maintain a small online bookstore with some hard to find titles on Kyudo, Zen, and Aloha-Zen.
