This is a great way to incorporate books into science. They not only learn a little about elephants, but they also learn about the earth and sun.

"Why Do Elephants Need the Sun?" is a book about the relationship between the sun, plant life and animal life, specifically the elephant. The book details the process of photosynthesis and how important it is to not only plant life but animal life that relies on plants as food. Very good science book with great illustrations that helps support the text.
