Three Persons . . . one God. 3 in 1 (a picture of God) uses the analogy of an apple to explain to children the Triune God. Simple terms and illustrations help teach children how God the Father creates and protects them, how God the Son saves, and how God the Holy Spirit plants faith in their hearts and causes it to grow. Epiphany-OviedoELCA. Library Section: 9A, 11 A (PreK, PreK-gr. 5), religion. One of the most difficult concepts to explain to a child is the Holy Trinity, the three-in-oneness of God. This book uses the familiar image of an apple, with its peel, flesh and core, to explain God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. When an apple seed is planted, many apples can result. Jesus is like the apple seed. After his death he was buried similar to the way an apple seed is planted. But because Jesus was really God, he rose from the dead just like an apple seed sprouts into a new tree. The result is happy, new lives for us. I've never seen this concept explained in such a simple, understandable way. When the time comes to explain the concept to your youngster or grandchild, the book will be at your fingertips -- we've got two copies, in the PreK section and Juvenile section under religion. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
