Enjoyable romp. The Leverage team takes on an entrepreneur who is bilking comic book artists out of their original art pieces. He has plans to auction them for big bucks and keep the proceeds. Nate, Sophie, Parker, Elliot and Hardison travel to San Diego for ComicCon where Hardison geeks out in a major way. The team finds that there is a deadly plot behind the auction which could lead to the deaths of hundreds of fans. Along the way, many inside jokes and name-dropping occurs. A series villain puts in a surprise appearance as well as a beloved publishing figure. If you're a fan of the tv series, the story stays true to the characters. Nate reveals a heart-wrenching reason for not wanting to attend the convention, Parker gets to do a couple disguises, and Elliot gets multiple chances to mock Hardison's enthusiasm. Great fun! ( )

This was a great, fun romp which perfectly matched the tone of the show.
I knocked a star off, however, due to a single joke being repeated like, four times, about both Cha0s and Wil Wheaton being at the con.
It was funny the first time.
But it got old. ( )

Loved the TV series the book just kind of falls a little flat. It's not bad it just didn't grip me like the show did. ( )

A nice beginning. I wish there was a book with the very beginning of the group and more backstory for each. I like and miss the series. ( )

I miss the tv show greatly, but at least it's now on Netflix. But before its arrival, reading this book and looking through the RPG was the only way I could get my Leverage fix. I loved this book, as it truly brought the spirit of the show to paper (or tablet screen). One can hear the voices of the characters clearly and feel like they're watching an episode. Plus, I loved the "special guest star" (no spoilers) that had me laughing out loud. Definitely planning to get the next book. ( )
