Every night is a struggle against temptation, but when Asian beauty Ursula literally falls into his arms, he fears he will lose the battle over his inner demons and succumb to bloodlust. Enslaved by vampires for her special blood, Ursula has just escaped her captors. She's rescued by a handsome stranger, only to realize that he's a vampire. He claims he wants to help her, but can she trust a vampire who's not only lusting after her body, but also her blood? I am giving it only hree stars because the author made the incredible task of turning every single character from the previous books into such pompous bastards that it ruined half of the story for me. As for Oliver and Ursula, I thought they were incredibly together and the scenes were beyond hot and sexy, they were in a whole other level now. Missed Yvette here. ( )

I love this series but this was not one of my favorites. One thing I noticed while reading this book was a common thread that seems to run through the whole series... the friends don't trust each other. You would think if they have been friends for hundreds of years (some of them) they would have earned some trust and loyalty but it seems like they fight their friends as much as anyone else. Poor Oliver is no exception. ( )
