This collection provides drama that will help create meaningful and memorable experiences during the Christmas season. Featured are three plays: The Advent Thief (3 male, 2 female, 2 boys, 2 girls)This short play (15 min) is about a grumpy rich aunt who is like Scrooge. When she sees how forgiving her niece and children are to a boy who steals her purse to buy food, she realizes her own greed. The piece ends with the family all sitting down to dinner and lighting the first candle in the Advent wreath.The Not-Too-Perfect Nativity Play (4 male, 6 female, 5 teen male, 8 teen female, 2 boys, 3 girls)This 70 minute play requires a large cast of adults, teens and children. In Act I, Miss Tate-the director of this year's Nativity Play tells everyone that adults and children will be the primary cast members instead of the teens who have been doing the play for several years. The first rehearsal is very bumpy and after the parents and kids leave, the teens agree to help Miss Tate with her challenges. The second Act includes the play itself with traditional Christmas carols, hymns and songs. Miss Tate and the teens are very surprised how well everything goes. Star Track(8 male, 5 female, extras)A 5-scene play, this script mixes modern-day reporters with the traditional Christmas story and people. It begins on the streets of Jerusalem, goes to Herod's palace, the Shepherd's village and finally the stable. (about 30 minutes)
