A valentines day present from Tia Katy and Sandra. Mx really liked this one for a bit. Loved hearing about how much he is loved.

This was a very short book. I would be a good book to keep in a kindergarten classroom for emergent readers because there are so few words on the page. They could create their own story with the book if they cannot read. Even if they cannot read they are still interacting with the books and looking at pictures. ( )

There are three reasons why I did not like this book. First, I did not like how there was barely any words on each of the pages. For example, on each page there is only about two or three words on each page, such as the first page You Are….., then, on the next page ….So Sweet. The whole book then continues with those short readings on each page. Second, I did not like how it was an extremely short story with not many details throughout the book. I did not like how; the illustrations were kind of funny and some were hard to make out what the pictures were on each page. The big idea of this story was about love and why The Hungry Caterpillar loves you. ( )

Perfect book to teach your students how to give compliments, or simply just to be nice and loving to one another. ( )
