Un consiglio a chi vorrà leggere questi libri: seguite l’ordine di pubblicazione della serie perché anche se ogni storia è conclusiva e a sé stante, alcuni rimandi e le evoluzioni dei personaggi ricorrenti seguono una logica temporale e, a volte, sono complementari alle storie stesse. ( )

Uno dei più di Weaver della serie di Raker. La ricerca di una donna scomparsa fa emergere un delitto avvenuto anni prima nel mondo del cinema. Bellissime le atmosfere e i personaggi. Consigliatissimo. Questa storia mi ha ricordato gli ottimi gialli di Cristiana Astori, anche lei li ambienta nel mondo del cinema. Se non li avete letti ve li consiglio. ( )

Cleverly plotted and keeps you guessing where the story will go next. Recommended. ( )

This is the second Tim Weaver that I have read and I continue to be impressed by his plotting and characterisation and I am always relieved when thriller writers avoid too much violence [I know that the nature of the stories necessitates some, but too many writers overdo it). This book particularly appealed to me because it centred around old movies and it was very well researched. I am now officially hooked on David Raker and will follow him backwards well as forwards. Highly recommended. ( )
