This is a cute story that explains sleep anxiety in not only children but in adults as well. I feel that Rosemary Wells chose to write a book about sleep anxiety because it's what children and adults face in their everyday lives. Rosemary Wells is an author who writes about children's books about every day life. In some of the books I read, she discussed school, children who worry, how to respect other people's things and cleaning up. The other books discussed about lonliness, math and death(story of saints). The books are written on a child's level and the illustrations are vibrant and go well with all of the stories. This is a story about a warrior, who comes to visit a little boy very night. The warrior came one night and told the little boy that he had a '' black spot on his tooth." So, the little boy went to his mother and she said it was fine. Then, the night before the young boys party, the warrior came and told the boy that " No one will come to his party and he will not get any presents." That night the little boy heard a ruffling sound in the other room . It was a puppy he had gotten for his birthday. The warrior was afraid of the dog and left. The young boy and his dog slept snuggled up together for the rest of the night. This story is about a little "worrier" or imaginary creature that comes in the middle of the night to worry Felix. I didn't like this little creature because he always made Felix feel bad. He always had Felix worrying but everything always worked out for him. Everyone has a negative person in their life who is constantly trying to break them down but Felix is a good example because he always found away to ignore the Worrier. Over all, this was a cute book. The theme of the book is not to worry so much, and that everything is not as bad as you may think they are. I would recommend this book for a young student who is about to start school for the first time. This is a cute book for a parent to read the night before school, or for a teacher to read the first day of school. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
