This book was great. I love the idea of a peek-through book because it keeps the reader engaged. In this particular book, the phase that the moon was in progressed as you went along throughout the story. I especially loved this because just like a story develops, the moon did, too. The book also rhymed, which is a great style in children's books. It helps to set a certain rhythm about the book that also plays a huge role in the engagement and interest of the reader. I loved this story, and loved the style that the author chose, so I would definitely recommend it both as a mentor text, and just a leisure read! ( )
