When you read three unfulfilling romances in a row, including one from a previously favorite author it is easy to start fearing that one has lost that loving feeling. It is scary for cantankerous people like me whose belief in romantic love may be the only thing between my current self and a future of get-off-my-lawn misanthropy. It was time to call out the big guns to see whether I still had a gooey center. Roxie Noir to the rescue with this charming enemies-to-lovers offering. It is not quite as good as her later books, but it is very good. You just know Violet and Eli belong together and that she will tether him and he will give her the world. Sigh. ( )

I don't have enough words to express how much I loved "Enemies With Benefits". Violet and Eli were hands down one of my favorites couplings in a long time. Their funny banter, slide marks/comments and oozing chemistry made it near impossible to put this down. Roxie Noir, the author, create the perfect novel for the enemies turned lovers trope and the witty characters she assembled for this romance company we're phenomenal. She is a definite must read author and I look forward to the future editions to the Loveless Brothers series.

A hilarious spin on friends with benefits and a terrific introduction to the Loveless clan. I can't wait for the brothers future books. I love his niece, she is so adorable. There's a fine line between love and hate--these two love to hate each other. They also love each other too.

Violet's childhood nemesis Eli Loveless has returned to town. Well, actually, he's been back but she didn't know until he walked into the kitchen where she's washing dishes after the WORST date EVER! Eli walking into the kitchen is the icing on her craptastic cake. It's alright, a new week is coming. New start, right? Wrong. She's late to the all-staff meeting at Bramblebush, an upscale resort/banquet hall where Violet is a wedding coordinator and she walks right into the devil himself, who is the new executive chef. Of course.

Eli has traveled the world, cooking and discovering food. He was also looking for something. He just didn't know what he was looking for or that he was even looking for it until he returns home. Actually, he realizes it the moment he starts fighting with Violet. He missed someone to challenge him. Violet has done that since the first grade and beat him almost every time. He has won--once. Something has changed between them too. He never used to imagine devouring her with his mouth--slowly or all the wicked things he wants to do to her body. Their chemistry is off the charts. He would rather fight with her than do anything else. He can barely control himself around her. What happens when he kisses her? Or when they start a friends with benefits arrangement that he has no intention of ending? Violet cares about what their boss will think about their relationship. What will happen if their boss finds out? Violet has no one to help her? Can they overcome their constant bickering and fighting to have a lasting relationship? ( )

Okay, this is a weird one. I'm DNFing at 61% (cause I don't care anymore) but rating it a THREE and writing a review...

I do not think I've done this before. All I can is that I've had enough. The couple is together, sexing it up all the time (so glad he can hit ALL THOSE nerves!) and I started reading like 1,000,000 books and realizing that I just don't care.

In fact, I can just imagine my ideal ending and avoid reading the rest.

Hero's a chef. Fact is, I have no idea what his name was anymore. It won't even take till morning I guess? I'm still rating it a 3, which is more like...eh, nevermind, it's a 2. Bad editing and we don't need to hear the same thing repeated from the hero AND the heroine's POV.

The boy who drove her crazy is the man she can't forget. Enemies with Benefits is a flameworthy romantic comedy. Noir lights up the heart with an over the top duo that are as endearing as they are frustrating, but never ceases to be entertaining. Eli and Violet incite drama with their overactive hormones and never ending banter. Noir keeps it fun, flirty and irresistible. I'm not ashamed to admit I loved every minute of it. ( )
