The murder of two teachers at the Woodward Academy for the Physically Disabled brings Kendra Michaels into a close-to-home investigation. Having spent several years as a student at the Academy, she knew both of the victims. But will her unique observational skills, honed during the twenty years of her blindness, be enough to catch the killer [or killers] and discover the reason for the murders?

Murder and conspiracy form the basis for this, the seventh story in the Kendra Michaels series. Kendra, as always, is headstrong and determined; Jessie, Olivia, and Adam are on hand along with FBI agents Roland Metcalf and Michael Griffin, all working together to find the culprits.

The familiar, well-developed characters are like old friends for those who follow the series. The story, filled with unexpected plot twists, is compelling: murder, conspiracies, and secrets draw the reader into the telling of the tale from the first page. The continually-building suspense and the ever-present tension [some due to the interaction between Kendra and Adam] keep the reader invested in the story, but it is Harley who captivates . . . readers can only hope he’ll be around for many future stories.
