This is a child's eye view of becoming homeless and asking for help. Regardless of who you are or where you live this is a story that will open a child's eyes to the importance of speaking up when something is not right. Lovely illustrations will touch the imaginations of readers. The author gets bonus points for telling a story that will lead to important discussions. Where Are We Going to Go? is a story for children in the early grades that voices the feelings and emotions behind homelessness and poverty. The story is told by a young child, aged 8, on their family's journey through homelessness. The child/narrator, discusses key feelings and emotions that accompany the change in their living placement and gives the reader an insight on the effects of homelessness on her day-to-day living.
