It feels as if I’ve been waiting years for this book and to know how this story would end. There were so many fantastic elements, but also a few that just didn’t work for me. In particular, Hermes has always been a favourite character for me, but in this book he is relegated to a one dimensional, comedic relief, side character. The way he was written was very jarring and in many ways took me out of the story and made it hard to read. Glad my favourite King and Queen of the Dead finally got their happy ending though. Well done Scarlett. Zeige 2 von 2 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

The world will burn in the final installment of Scarlett St. Clair's bestselling Hades X Persephone saga. The gods are at war, the Titans have been released, and Hades and Persephone must fight tooth and nail for their happy ending. Persephone, Goddess of Spring, never guessed that a chance encounter with Hades, God of the Underworld, would change her life forever-but he did. Now embroiled in a fight for humanity and battles between the gods, Persephone and Hades have entered a world they never thought they would see. To end the chaos, Persephone must draw upon her darkness and embrace who she's become-goddess, wife, queen of the Underworld. Once, Persephone made bargains to save those she loves. Now, she will go to war for them. Contains mature themes. Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |

This was an excellent conclusion to the series. The senses were high with the war happening, and the devastation of Tartarus opened.
Persephone had to work through her emotions with the aftermath of Malice and the guilt of what she had done.
Hades protective as ever and tries everything in his power to keep his queen safe, but realises that they are a partnership and neither needs to be alone in this.
Hecate as vengeful as ever. She was a highlight in this novel.
Hermes, as usual, was the comic relief, and I love him to bits.
Theseus . . . This guy . . . He deserves everything he gets.
I enjoyed the story a lot. I felt a few things were a bit lacking, like battle scenes. I enjoyed the multiple POVs. They actually moved the story forward and not like in a Game of Gods where I felt it was unnecessary.
Spice level is a 3.
I feel sad that this feels so finite. Saying goodbye to Hades and Persophene's story, but all good things come to an end. I keep my fingers crossed that they will feature in the side stories if the author wills it. ( )
