A real standout book on doubleweave, but not for the faint of heart. As the title suggests, there are no drafts for over 8 shafts. Arn-Grischott covers warp interchanges, weaving with different structures, folds, stitched double cloth and more. A fabulous book filled with color photos and thread diagrams showing you how warp and weft intersect. You could probably spend a weaving lifetime, expanding on what is covered here. ( )

This book has enough information on double weave to keep a weaver busy for years. The subject is complex and this book delves into it without mercy, but I think that the color photos and the drafts of each example will make it possible to weave things you never thought possible on four or eight shafts. - BM
