More like a 3.5 star rating but I rounded up. This started out as a strong, fun, and sexy read, but the ending felt a bit lack luster.

I really enjoyed the first 2/3rds of this book. It was fast paced, lots of spice, with the plot being developed at a decent pace. When I say lots of spice, I mean by page 3 things begin to heat up. The characters were interesting and were introduced one at a time so you could get a feel for each character and their relationship(s) as they developed. Even with all the spice, the plot was well developed was well.

I thought that the last 1/3rd of the book was slower paced to start but then the ending felt very rushed. This last section in the book also had considerably much less spice, though there was some. The "fight" (if it can be called that) with her father was over in a blink. There was good build up to the confrontation but there was no real struggle between the characters. I also would have liked a bit more development of/with Wolf's sister or Rylan's family.

This wasn't a bad read, the plot was more in the background than the foreground. Yes, sure it revolves around sex but that was were the 'power' lay. I still enjoyed it nonetheless. ( )

This rating brought to you by the plot. Cause that's why I read it. Sertainly not for the never ending smut that starts chapter one. With threesomes, foursomes, organic bites so on and so forth. Chapters that almost made me O just from reading, no other actions.

The actual plot was lacking. Not a fan of the breeding kink(not the books fault) or rhe very rapid ending and plot tying up. So much more could have been done with the world that was built. I would have liked a more zodiac academy pace level. Couple of failed battles, and a shit ton of sex in between. The author relies heavily on 500+ year old characters to give us plot info, and then moves quick6past like it's old news. But really I'm being picky. No one is reading this for the plot nor is that it's purpose. ( )

The problem I have with this book is the plot. There aren’t basically any. There were lots of sex. A lot of it. Book 1 introduces us to the characters and how they like to have sex. Every chapter has sex. Its not a bad thing but the story basically revolves around it, if you would call it a story. For Act 2 or book 2, they are finally free but they have to hide from Mina’s father. While hiding, they have lots of deadly sex. For book 3, we finally get to have lots of rest from sex since Mina’s 3 partners have been captured. Of course, they escape and they have lots of reunion sex. I haven’t read a lot of smut but if it means minimal plot and lots of sex then I’m out.
