While the guide focuses on the iPhone 15, I found that most of the features were applicable and available on my iPhone 14 Pro. With helpful tips on when to different modes, aspect ratios and special features such as “Live” photo and “Burst” mode, and recommended settings in the camera app, beginner photographers are sure to elevate photo quality. One of the most valuable tips is making use of the “grid” feature to help with photo composition and implementing photography principals such as the “Rule of Thirds” and the “Golden Ratio”. Part II of the guide focuses on advanced photography and goes into greater depth on advanced camera tools. Readers get a brief overview of the principles of the exposure triangle, (shutter speed, aperture, and ISO) and clear guidance on how to access features such as “focus lock” and exposure settings and filters to improve composition. The iPhone 15 Pro Max Complete Photography Guide is divided into two parts: Beginner's Photography and Advanced Photography. Though the book is mainly devoted to the iPhone 15, the first part begins with a short review of the iPhone 14. It then moves to simple topics like settings and the basic functions like panorama, burst mode, low light, and sharing photos. The second part is more complex and focuses on shutter speed, portraits, filters, HDR, modes, and even using accessories. I breezed through Part One because it seemed too easy - it covered topics that I already knew, just from using my iPhone regularly. But then I got to Part Two and I clearly do not have advanced photography skills, because I learned several things. I especially liked the "Macro" chapters, because I love taking pictures of butterflies, moths, and insects. Part Two will be something I'll need to reference going forward, since I'm almost positive I didn't retain all the tips and tricks shared.  This is a good reference guide for any iPhone 14 or 15 user interested in learning how to take better pictures with the iPhone.
