This is a true story about a missionary family in Haiti. The front of the book gives a glossary of words used, to understand and define them in the story. I loved that about the book. I also loved the chorus that was sung everytime a baby was left to them. I love the story they tell of how it was just the family with two kids, but they adopted 28 children due to health issues in the area. ( )

This is an awesome book about cajun culture. It has a glossary in the front, so that children can understand the language mixed into the book. It is very colorful, and written like a song. I would recommend it to k-3. ( )

This story is so beautiful and great. This story was inspired by real life events where this family adopted orphans. Everyday a new person was added. This would be a cute story to help children learn how to count. I love how colorful the story was. I think it can teach children about love for you family and helping others. ( )

This book was a counting book. On each page a new person was added. The pages counted from one to ten by adding a person. This book was educational because it had some words in Cajun language. I would use this book in the classroom to teach my students how to count. This book would also teach them some words in the Cajun language. ( )

There is a Mama and a Papa who have a daughter. One day they get all of these kids on their doorstep to watch for a day. But in the end it's just the three of them. ( )
