This anthology was all right - but no great stand-out gems here, I'm afraid.
I'd like to reiterate my opinion that Dean Koontz may be the most overrated author of all time, as said opinion has been strengthened by reading his "the rats of NIMH go EVIL!!!" story here....
Also have to mention that I think TWO stories about truckers getting killed off for revenge is one too many for one book...
The Rex Miller story is rather clever, but more a detective tale than horror. ( )

Maybe they do in books what they do in record albums, e.g., they take one well known winner and surround it with unknown and never-heard-of songs, or in this case, stories, to sell the record (book). koontz is the only author i have even heard of, although i will admit i have heard of a book or two here and there the others have written. the collection just isn't that good. ( )

STALKERS is an anthology of 3 novellas and 16 short stories contributed by authors I was familiar with and many I wasn't. True connoisseurs of horror fiction probably are familiar with them all, but for me, this was a nice taste of many different writing styles. Some were very successful; others fell flat.

This was definitely a nice grouping of authors and if you like the short story format, it was pretty good. You could do worse. ( )
