This is a book that I would keep for myself, as a current student of a Renaissance Art course I can testify that the information is complete, accurate, and written with a compelling voice. There is so much information contained within this book, it was surprising to me. I loved the way the author wrote about his entire life through descriptions of his personal journal, quotes included.

I couldn't read every page. It's just too thorough, with no narration. And the cartoon-like drawings are appropropriate, but boring, imo. It is however a valuable reference, and clearly enough written to be accessible to all readers ages 8 and up. ( )

This was a wonderful informative illustrated book on the life of Leonardo De Vinci. By creating an visually pleasing piece of literature, the young readers will be more thrilled to continue to read the book. The art showcased in this book allowed readers to gain a better understanding of the brilliant ideas Leonardo had for the world. ( )

Amazing illustrations, but there is a lot going on in this book. It would be a book to read to yourself or share one-to-one. It looks as if it should be for children but the story Leonardo da Vinci is complex and lengthy. The end pages are his quotes written in a penned hand. The book is visually delightful, and crammed with information.
