I have a few books in this series and find them extremely useful. For text books they are surprisingly easy to read and are full of clearly laid out and well-organised examples and information.

A big factor for me with art books is the quality of the example images/art works. If I look at the examples and think "Crikey, that's a bit crap" I don't really want to learn what the book has to teach. No such problem in this case, with the majority of the examples being very good if not excellent. ( )
