Aw... I'm surprised how well Paterson managed to write an Early Reader - this is graceful and effective. I wonder, though, how much kids like it... it seems to be addressing parents & teachers, helping us to understand & help children like Marvin.... ( )

Marvin's best friend is a cow named Rosie and she is very mean. Marvin moves to a new farm with his family and Rosie finds them and causes trouble in the neighborhood.

The book is about a mean cow Rosie. After she dead, only a little boy of her owner family miss her very much. One day, the boy found a small cow in the grass and it looks like Rosie, but the small cow didn't mean anymore. That is a very funny story for younger children.

Wonderful tale of very young imagination. I read this while I was sitting at a bookshop waiting for Ms. Paterson to arrive. It was a very exciting day. ( )
