I was blown away by the wonderful illustrations and I like the fun, sing songy rhyming text. This is perfect for a Halloween read-aloud due to its creepy and thrilling pics. Personal response: This book is great for introducing a child into certain themes such as “night” and “scary.” It does it in such a way to suggest that that child does not have to be scared of the dark or dark subjects like Halloween. The Art work was amazing and it will really attract a child to the book. (
