Diana gets pulled into the Black Horizon, and has to join forces with Beowulf and the Claw in order to fight against the very Devil himself. They cover many different planes and realities, as Diana feels her powers, then her very soul slipping away. Meanwhile in the Department of Metahuman affairs, Tom is sent to investigate Diana, by Director Steele who is becoming more unstable and dangerous as time goes by. Tom comes across the Gorilla Guards, the hyperintellegent Gorillas in Diana's flat, and meets up with Diana's sister in order to recover the situation. The Tom storyline is short but gives a little depth to Diana's non Amazon world.

Drawing and inking is strong and clear, and the panels are uncluttered and easy to follow

The hardback contains another shorter story at the back, which is Diana checking out the Making of the Wonder Woman movie. I was less interested in this one, but did enjoy the humour of the gorillas as they try and fit into the world of Hollywood meetings

A really good action adventure collection of stories which crosses the human world and the worlds Wonder Woman inhabits in a combination of much enjoyment. Gail Simone is great at doing this and a core skill in telling a good superhero story in my opinion is this skill.

No matter if she's writing Wonder Woman, The Secret Six, or Birds Of Prey its so refreshing to have a writer who can blend all the facets of a comic book universe together with humor and raw energy. She can handle humor, horror, romance, and fuck it to the wall action. God when she decides to turn up any level within one of her stories it sure gets your attention.

Even with the great action my stand out favorite moments in this book are with the Gorilla Knights in the Wonder Woman The Movie story. Loved the main story because it got me thinking about George Perez's run on Wonder Woman. I think I shall pull Gods And Mortals off my DC bookcase. And that leads me to how much I love Gail Simone's run on this character. It sits right there nicely with the Perez run.

Is a comic series printed as a novel of "Wonder Woman". It's about her struggle between two worlds fighting for her soul. Evil versus Good. Her soul is slowly being taken from her and she must fight the Devil, himself, to get her soul back. Wonder Woman befriends Beowulf and Claw the Unconquered to fight and find her way back to her soul. This is done between two worlds by going back in time of the Vikings era, you could say, and the present. The illustrations are awesome and very thorough and definitely graphic. The details of the illustrations are awesome!! The bubble words and the way it relates to what she is thinking and saying makes you feel like you are there.

I've always like Wonder Woman on television when I was a teenager. And, of course, reading the comic books were great, too!! Reading this graphic novel sure brought back fun memories and had my imagination going. I liked the vibrant colors and art work that went into this comic graphic novel.

I definitely would use this with older children starting from the 5th grade and into the senior years. There is so much to do with this kind of art like of course, the drawings, the morals I do see involved, teaching about good versus evil, and probably using in an English curriculum. ( )
