Megan Abbott is an award wining author. She was born in the Detroit area and graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in English Literature. Abbott went on to receive a Ph.D. in English and American Literature from New York University. Abbott's stories have appeared in Damn Near Dead: mehr anzeigen An Anthology of Geezer Noir (2006), Wall Street Noir (2007), Detroit Noir (2007), Storyglossia and Queens Noir (2007). Her nonfiction book, The Street Was Mine: White Masculinity in Hardboiled Fiction and Film Noir, was published in 2003. She is also the editor of the Edgar-nominated A Hell of a Woman: An Anthology of Female Noir. Megan is also the Edgar-winning author of the novels Die a Little, The Song Is You, Queenpin and Bury Me Deep. She won the Barry Award (Deadly Pleasures and Mystery News award) and has been nominated three times for the Anthony Award (Bouchercon World Mystery Convention award). The End of Everything von Megan Abbott
This was a f**ked up story. There were so many things happening that are horrifically wrong. I get that this is fiction, it still felt wrong reading some of these scenes.
About halfway through this book, I contemplated not finishing it. The pace had slowed and there wasn't a lot happening. The second half picked up and had a lot of twists and turns that I did not anticipate. I liked the ending and I am glad I did not give up on the story.
i love insane toxic lesbionic cheerleader media and i had fun! everybody remember to thank god i didn't read this when i was in high school or it would've been my whole personality
This is not my favorite Megan Abbott book and I think it is because I don't find the sport of cheer very exciting. The story itself was good, I just found all of the cheer information distracting.
