Kurzbiographie: I've always been thinking of stories for as long as I've been alive. I have way, way, way too many to tell and far too little time to tell them.

I joined UFOP: Starbase 118, a Star Trek roleplay-by-emails group, in 2010 and it was there where I learned my craft. But despite being one of the more active writers in the group and simming to my heart's content, I still couldn't tell all the stories I wanted to. It was only in 2011 that I actually started shaping and weaving those random, jumbling, chaotic masses of thoughts into coherent narratives and began self-publishing.

Writing's my full time job now. I write a little science fiction, a little fantasy, a little humour and comedy, and a few other things all over the place.

Lacuna #1: Demons of the Void von David Adams

while the storyline was interesting, the dialogue between the two main characters left a lot to be desired... far too much "purring" on her part, as an example, and way too much cutesy-entendre between them. i think, had the dialogue been more believable, the book would have received another star from me... as is, i'm a bit afraid to look for the second book in the series... this one ended with a cliff-hanger, but i'm not entirely sure i'd want to subject myself to more of the same...

Demon and Emily (Symphony of War) von David Adams

An enjoyable story. I liked how details were revealed little by little. I didn't like how the narration went from the perspective of the dog, which was the main reason I had picked up the book. I've read a number of such books, and many are very good. The narration here just didn't FEEL right to me. Most of the time, the dog is written as not very intelligent. Except when he needed to be in order to convey details of the story. It made the dog an awkward and inconsistent leading character for me. But overall still a good story.… (mehr)

Lacuna von David Adams

This book is okay; not the best sci-fi I've read, but also not the worst. There are many holes - like humans going from terrestrial to having a lunar base, three space-faring battleships, and crews fully trained in the intricacies of space warfare in just 8 years - that I could overlook (somewhat) to move the narrative forward. The action sequences were interesting and made the book hard to put down, but the story dragged through way too much sex & relationship drama for my tastes... especially for a sci-fi novel!… (mehr)

Ren of Atikala (Kobolds #1) von David Adams

Generic fantasy world with creatures and their ecology straight out of the D&D bestiary, but with an interesting perspective-flip from the usual human and demi-human adventurers to a kobold sorceress and her patrol mate.
