I enjoyed this book. It has the unsettling aspect of a fantasy book: how could the crime have been accomplished without the influence of the supernatural? For a while, I was concerned that the introduction of a ghost, or some such ghoul, would occur to 'explain' the mystery. I needn't have worried: a neat and very earthly explanation provides an entirely satisfactory conclusion.

The pace was moderate and steady with some complex twists and an exceptional red herring or three. The characters are well developed and the suspense builds. A fine read.

Actually quite a good book. It's the story of a woman who returns to her estranged family as her beloved grandfather is dying. Secrets have been kept and they start unravelling

Twenty-eight year old Ashley Summers, widow, has finally moves on and meets Tim Bennett. Then she disappears. Ex-detective Ray Flowers is employed to find her. But nothing is simple, as lives are threatened and lost.
An entertaining and well-written modern mystery thriller with its cast of varied characters. Another good addition to this series
