An essay on brewing, vintage & distillation,… von John Festus Adams
1st ed. Reminiscent of old time treatise discourses. Adams pub many subjects on close to the earth subject, farming bee culture, vegetable gardening. Today's Locavore movement can trace its roots to this time of self sustaining hippies of the 60s.
This is a quick read , some 138 pages, but well worth it.
A very engaging plot, from page one the murder is being committed. But from there it spirals out of control.
It is difficult to say much without giving spoiler alerts on an every paragraph basis
Sufice to say that when you think you have reached the end there is one more.

An truly entertaining and informative volume on the low-tech making of beverages. Adams main purpose is to de-mystify the process on the basis that it's been done for thousands of years without fancy equipment so it really doesn't need it now. Along the way he makes some pretty hysterical observations on both do-it-yourself-dom and oh-just-everything.
