I read this book years ago. I found it on my bookshelf the other day and remembered how much I liked it. It's a very nice story about a man who takes piano lessons to learn one piece to play for his wife.

An easy, fast, enjoyable read. But Adams didn't go into enough depth with any of the people or situations he described. I was left wanting to know a lot more about the people he ran into, and what made them (and him) tick.

A wonderfully rich narrative that brings an unprecedented spirit of immediacy to one of history s most dramatic stories.… (mehr)
