A book with a very interesting premise: the family must suffer for the sins of the grandparents. Only in this case, the family is innocent. Rachel Brackett is out to make a new start far away from her tears and the pain of losing her husband to a landmine. Best place to go, the home she spent time in as a child.

Only things have changed. Grandma and Grandpa aren't there any more but the creatures they helped create are. And they are NOT happy. Terrible things were done to them as humans and not, well - inhuman is too kind a word. She nearly hits a grizzly bear but he just stares at her and moves on. Hmmmm.

She is soon to find that the grizzly is part of the changed group who want to hurt her. With one exception: Leonardo who lives in the shadows is kind to her and protects her. She has no idea what (and who) he is protecting her from.… (mehr)

I just finished reading Revelations. It is the third book in the Shadow trilogy written by RM Alexander. Rachel has grown tired of losing those she loves to the menacing scientists of Telov. She has decided once and for all that they need to be shut down. Can she find a way to shut them down? Will they be able to defeat the scientists? Will they learn to move on and heal?

I really loved this book. I loved the entire trilogy. I can easily say that it is one of my favorite all time trilogies. The characters are easily to feel for. It’s easy to see how much time and effort the author put into the story and the characters. It’s truly inspirational. There is a love triangle in the story line, but it isn’t dramatically overplayed. It’s subtle but obvious enough to know it’s there.

There isn’t really much that I didn’t like about this book. The only thing that I have a problem with is that I wanted the story to just keep on going. I wanted to forever be a part of Rachel’s life. I wanted to see how they rebuilt their lives. That’s just me though. Other than that, the author did a fantastic job with this book.

I fully recommend this book. I strongly encourage everybody to read the entire series in order though. Wouldn’t want anybody to get confused. Not only did this become one of my favorite trilogies, I can honestly say that the author has become one of my favorite authors. I just finished reading Dark Crossings. It is the second book in the Shadows trilogy written by R.M. Alexander. Rachel knows that the danger is still lurking around. She knows that she has many enemies out to get her. Her only concern is keeping those she cares about safe and trying to live her life as normally as possible. She wants to spend as many free moments with her love, Leonardo, as she possibly can. Can she succeed in keeping everybody safe? Can she keep leading two lives without them crossing?

When I read Veil Of Secrecy, I loved it. I knew that it could quickly become one of my favorite trilogies. Then I read Dark Crossings, my feeling was only further confirmed with this book. Not many authors can say that their second book was even more amazing than the first one was. R.M. Alexander can say this though! I was very impressed with this book. The flow was amazing and I was on edge to the very end. I can’t wait to get my hands on the third book!

There wasn’t anything that I didn’t really like about this book. Like many other books that I love, I wish that the story didn’t have to end. The way it captured my emotions correctly at all the correct times was amazing. Anything else is overlookable. The characters are easy to relate to. The flow is amazing. The story is easy to follow and get lost in. What more could we possibly want in a great read?

I fully recommend this book. I have to give full disclosure here. The first book needs to be read first. It’s called Veil Of Secrecy. It’s a great read. I’m glad that I was given the opportunity to read this book. I can’t wait to read the third book. I’m sure that there will be many others that feel the exact same way I do. I just finished reading Veil Of Secrecy. It is a paranormal romance written by RM Alexander. Rachel Brackett is devastated after losing her husband. After inheriting a house and a ton of money from estranged grandparents, she decides to move to the unfamiliar area and start over. What she finds there is something she never expected to find. Can she settle into her new life and close her wounds or is she destined to be heartbroken forever?

I loved this book. This is one of those books that a person can really root along with the good guys while keeping them on their toes to the very end. I fell in love with all the main characters. I sympathized greatly with Rachel. I also related to her in many ways. It’s not easy picking up and starting over elsewhere. She did it though.

There were a few parts of the story that I felt got rushed over that I would have liked to see a bit more drawn out a bit more. I also would have liked to see more personality from some of the characters. I’m sure I will in the rest of this series though. Other than those minor issues, and a few typos here and there, I really enjoyed this book. It was well written. I was hooked from page one.

I fully recommend this book. It is well written and very well thought out. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series. I feel like it could quickly become one of my favorites. I especially love how the author gave this book a very realistic tie. That was very intelligent. I am glad I had the opportunity to read this book.… (mehr)
