Daniel Ammann is business editor of the highly regarded Swiss weekly Die Weltwoche. He was educated at Zurich University, UC Berkeley, and Fondation Postuniversitaire Internationale in Paris. In 2007, he won the Georg von Holtzbrinck Prize for Business Journalism.

The author tried to be balanced but left a lot out. For instance, he did not write about the changing nature of the oil market: was Marc Rich able to adapt his style to the changing world of oil?
I also believe he did not delve deep enough into the scandal surrounding Marc Rich. This omission is a shortcoming of the book.… (mehr)
