a cozy with an interesting idea that wasn't well-written, with characters that were pretty flat and lifeless... haven't decided if i'll keep or delete...

I'm not sure I like that they have to be vegetarian to live there, plus the multiple coven thing sounds like it's worse than high school...
But I did enjoy the story and I really love the familiar and communication thing

This is a wonderful series that just keeps getting better. I suppose it's because we get to know the characters better in every book. I love following along as they strive to become witches. All of the spells and preparations are such fun while also making you think. Very entertaining with all of the familiars too. Love the relationships between all of them. Can't wait to read the next in the series.

This was a really fun read. Penny, a witch in training, is a PI in her regular life. She gets a case about an old will possibly being forged. She thinks it will only take a few hours to solve. Turns out to be a lot more involved. She's also working with her new coven/knitting circle to master a vision spell. All in all it's a really fun, quirky time!
