Descriptions of the Plains Indian Wars includes chapters on the Little Bighorn, Wounded Knee and other events pertaining to South Dakota's Native Americans.
Several unexpected but welcome witty comments help to relieve the tragic facts and infuriating injustice so well explained here.
A large book for a fairly narrow topic, but the book is well done and full of information that would be helpful for a student interested in the topic. It reads like a storybook, and has a great deal of pictures and artwork. No bibliography, but an adequate index.
