Interesting little book on historical Egyptian motifs and color symbolism, applied to knitted lace shawls. More projects I want to make!

Winning this pattern book came at an opportune time, I bought a few skeins of lace weight yarn at Rhinebeck!
The patterns in this book are beautiful, very thoughtfully designed and researched. Each pattern has includes a brief story about the inspiration for the shawl.
The patterns seem to range from intermediate to experienced. I'm planning on trying Seth, Osiris and Fields of Malachite.
This book gets 3.5 starts instead of 4 because I find the charts difficult to read.… (mehr)
