Eros in Summer von Anonymous
This is one of the later volumes of an admirable Headline Delta sequence of a dozen or more charming accounts of the busy erotic adventures of a pair of friends, Sophia and Andy, in that early part of the nineteenth century when enterprise was a key word, whether public or private. The pair normally live in London, and each book catalogues their exploits there and also on their travels, providing convincing detail of the historically fascinating developments of the era. Andy and Sophia are routinely lovers, but do not limit themselves when it comes to exploring the free and easy attitudes to amorous coupling they encounter as they make their (usually separate) forays. In this volume they explore the delights of the English South Coast, basing themselves in Brighton, and, as always, their amorous encounters with a wide variety of youthful men and women are delightfully catalogued in detail. 'Eros in Summer' fulfils the expectations of its fellow volumes, and makes a fast-moving and pleasurable read for those in search of mostly conventional erotica.… (mehr)

His brother, her uncle, invites her to visit his house, and he takes up where her father left off, again with sensuous behaviour, albeit short of incest. His own wife and daughter, as well as her sister and a family friend, are complicit in her entrapment in voluptuous goings on, and soon she finds herself and her sister being undressed and tied up for chastisement with a leather strap before being dressed in scanty, transparent clothing and paraded in manacles before being enjoyed by strange men. CliffordDorset | 1 weitere Rezension | Oct 15, 2009 | The ‘Eros’ series of titillating literature has a uniformity of style that suggests that a single author is involved, and whoever it is always manages to demonstrate a considerable enthusiasm in the execution of his craft. The books are not only well written, and include lots of detail about the era of their setting; they have a nicely judged pace, in which the erotic interludes are spaced at just the right separation within the storyline to maintain the reader’s interest in what is of course the main raison d’être for this style of book. One useful and endearing characteristic of the series is that the storyline involves two amorously engaged friends: Andy and Sophie, whose exploits are given alternate chapters. This allows the development of a distinctive rhythm and considerably broadens the scope available for ringing the changes on their sexual proclivities. This particular book has an interesting, apparently well-researched plot concerning the origins of England’s railway network. As may be imagined, the political and inter-personal intrigues necessary to achieve such a major undertaking, allow a great scope for amorous escapades. The episodic encounters here are mostly hetero-, with a little more experimental activity (including ‘close relatives’), and a surprising conclusion involving fetishistic bondage.… (mehr)
