I forced myself to finish reading the book. The author jumps from topics and timelines to the point it difficult to follow the storyline. Arostegui presents special forces operators the world over as testosterone ridden, adolescent boys who can't control themselves unless they're holding an assault weapon. Book is an insult to all the special forces officers around the world who work hard to be ready, willing and able to counter terrorism at a moments notice. They are not rapists and murderers, but extremely well trained soldiers. I gave the book two stars because it does provide much information on many different CT squads, including American, French, German, Spanish, Peruvian, British, and Australian. Several team actions are covered throughout the book. The author provides a great deal of specifics, but almost always with a negative connotation. If I were a hostage I would be thankful for special teams. If I were a terrorist I'd think long and hard before putting my body in the path of their professionally aimed weapons.… (mehr)
