Profiles of about a dozen common predator mammals in North America : lynx, mountain lion, skunk, wolf, coyote, fox, muskrat, sea lion, squirrel, etc., It credits the Department of Agriculture. The title Furry Friends seems to have been chosen to highlight how the featured animals help man by preying upon rats, mice, rabbits, and other "problem" species, and to discourage hunting and trapping these "furry friends."
