Janel C. Atlas had more than eight years experience as a freelance writer and editor before returning to academia at the University of Delaware. Her current research interests include 19th century African American literature, particularly representations of miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant loss mehr anzeigen in literature, and teaching composition.
