Alec Baldwin

For a celebrity memoir Nevertheless is quite a good book. I listened to it while I exercised at the YMCA and found it informative and enjoyable. I am not much of a fan but I have enjoyed Alec Baldwin's performances in 30 R0c on TV. I found his discussion of acting on stage interesting and would like to see him live sometime. His childhood as one of 6 kids in a family living on a high school teachers income showed that he did not come from privilege. I also liked hearing about his political activities. Alec had some problems with drugs and alcohol in his earlier career. He did not hold back on his discussion of that part of his life. His recovery and the debt he owes to the AA 12 Steps tradition came across as truly sincere.… (mehr)
