K.A. Barson

I cannot believe this is a first novel.I've read several books dealing with eating disorders, but this is the first one that I thought could actually be an encouragement with someone suffering from an eating disorder. K. A. Barson has nailed the humanness that resides within all of us, which is not always very becoming, yet is bodly truthful. In this novel you are pulling for everybody, oh maybe not the d******d father of Ann and Tony. That's what the family called him and it seemed pretty fitting. I loved the way aunt Jackie and her partner Chris were embraced as they wed. The event was joyful and fun for the 200 family and friends who attended. The self written vows were a bit unusual, but that's ok, it's your day.
As I close the book with reluctance, I am still pulling for everyone to achieve their dreams and happiness they are each striving for.… (mehr)
