As a resource aimed at neuro-typical kids and adults, the book lacks an engaging energy. It reads more like a checklist, and rather preachy. I'm a mother of an Autistic boy and have read a wide array of books aimed at an array of audiences.... this isn't one I have chosen to share with other people interested in learning about my boy's quirks and rigidity. I haven't loaded the CD to check out the coloring pages, though I suspect they are clips of the illustrations in the book. If that's the case, then perhaps a few pages, used in conjunction with an informed and tailored conversation on Autism (rather than reading the book or handing off the book for a student to read), would be a successful resource. I feel the book has good information, but doesn't stand alone well.… (mehr)
