This collection comes as a volume in the old Child Horizons set of children's "encyclopedias." The stories are truly wonderful - the cream of the crop. Each one is accompanied by its original illustrations.

These books have a special place in my heart, because my mother used to sell them door-to-door in the late '50s in Billings, Montana. I was pretty young, but I love the books because they were great, and because my mother believed in them.
