Not many reviews for this book. I think I read this book in 6th grade. It was a good book... the drama and scandals will leave you with your mouth hanging open. Alison's whole family is rich and scandalous, kind of like Dynasty (the tv show). When her mother is arrested, the people she thought she could trust betray her. Alison's best friend/ cousin Kelly takes her boyfriend Chad. Chad also has his drama, his financial status is not so hot and he needs to date Kelly for the popularity and her money.

Everyone in this story has their agenda. While I was reading this, I didn't know who I could trust, everyone seemed like a suspect for betrayal. I need to find time to read the rest of the series now!

Allison must make an appearance at her mother's trial. It's hard to defend the woman who never seemed to care or appreciate her. But Allison wants her mom out, since her dad just left and her grandmother, who although she may love Allison, is just too conniving.

Chad finally woke up from his coma. But now he has no recollection of what happened, who he is, or who the people in his life are. Seems like the perfect start for Kelly to take Chad away once again, but Allison could just possibly sweep in and take what was hers first.

Haunted by the death of Audra and the events that led to it, Zoey is unable to get it out of her head. Now, Audra's parents want to meet Zoey. What will they think of her? Do they not know what exactly happened between the girls?

Now that his best friend is awake, Tom feels blessed. He is given the chance to be Chad's friend again, and it helps that Chad doesn't remember anything. But his feelings for Kelly are still there. Will he be able to stay loyal?

Drawing closer to the finish, NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH leaves us with anticipation for the last novel. The storylines are stronger and certain characters are getting weaker. Can they all survive to the end?

Little secrets… big drama!

After Allison's mother was arrested for embezzlement, her life went from bad to just plain terrible. Her boyfriend dumped her for her cousin, who she thought was her best friend, and everyone at school began to steer clear of her. With almost losing her best ally in her family, Allison is glad that she still has Grandma Diamond by her side, since she wouldn't be able to play the game without her. Still hung up over Chad, Allison is trying to live her life normally, but it isn't much help when secrets continue to leak, making her question even Grandma Diamond's motives.

Kelly had fun pulling Allison down off her high horse, but now she is just plain bored. Not only that, but she just found out that her Aunt Christine is her biological mother; and, of course, Christine doesn't want anything to do with her. With a new girl in town and no subjects whose life she can make miserable, Kelly just wants some change in her life. Maybe she can surprise her new mom?

Chad feels a little guilty about what happened between him and Allison, but is happy to have Kelly as his girlfriend -- but he doesn't know her true motives. With his own secret life still hidden, it is just bound to get out. The one person who discovers what that is can use it against him, even if he thinks they will respect him because of it.

Tom is tired of Chad using him and using Kelly, the girl who he really wants to be with. His patience with Chad is thinning quickly and, before he knows it, he has the opportunity to betray his friend in an instant. True friends don't do that, right?

Dramatic, deceptive, and very delicious, this follow-up to the first novel in the LITTLE SECRETS series, PLAYING WITH FIRE, does not disappoint. Secrets are poured out all over the place and true colors of certain characters will definitely be revealed. This series just gets better and better.

Survival of the fittest was always a theory that described nature. But for Alison, this theory is perfect for her family.

Alison thought she had a pretty good life, except for the parts where her parents hardly acknowledged her until they needed a favor. But then the FBI came knocking at her door and arrested her mom, accusing her of embezzlement. With her mom in jail, there is no one who Alison can turn to (like there was anyone before). With her dad left, who has no idea how to take care of the situation, aunts and uncles who only care about Grandma Diamond's fortunes, and a boyfriend who is becoming pretty distant, the only person Alison finds comfort in is her cousin, Lily.

Lily is pretty ecstatic that Alison's mom was arrested (of course, she would never say that to Alison). But the one thing that Lily wants the most is to see her perfect cousin get knocked off her high horse and become the biggest loser both at school and in the real world. It may take a while, but Lily is definitely ready to see her cousin go down, and her first move is Chad, Alison's boyfriend.

Chad is beginning to feel like his and Alison's relationship is drifting apart, and is seeing an opportunity to open up with her cousin, Lily. Not only would he be dating the hottest girl in school, but all the popularity and money that comes along with Lily is a pretty good incentive. Just as long as no one finds out about his financial status or what he has to worry about in his house. If he did start to date Lily, it would not only hurt Alison but also his best friend, Tom.

Tom has a huge crush on Lily (but of course it is a secret). With his twin sister, Zoey, back home, after being kicked out of her fifth school, Tom just wants to live his life without any inclusion of his father, and hopes that Lily sees how he would be a better boyfriend for her. It's not so easy, though, since his sister has gotten weirder and the reason why she got kicked out of the last school might just ruin his reputation.

Zoey is back and ready to take revenge on Alison, who she thought was her friend but betrayed her at the worst possible moment. But will Zoey really turn on Alison, since she is the only friend and ally she has?

Everyone has their secrets, and everyone has their strategies. Let the games begin.

Not only devious but also very entertaining, PLAYING WITH FIRE is one book that you will want to read. Just be glad that their secrets aren't your secrets, even if they may be little.
