I thought these were hilarious back when I was in the third grade. Passed along to a grand-daughter in Middle School at her request, so they are still in circulation in the schools.

This is actually the second time I have read this book, the first being decades ago. I thought it was pretty funny then, and the passing years haven’t changed my opinion any. Though it comes with a disclaimer saying parents won’t find these riddles funny, I bet the ones who grew up spouting them will. And I bet they’ll even remember some of the answers! These riddles are clever, and the illustrations add to the enjoyment of the book.

I have had this book since I was in fourth grade and I remember loving the jokes then. Oddly, when asked to tell a joke, these are the ones I remember. They are funny and weird but oh so elephant perfect.

my kids can't get enough of this book! I remember loving it when I was a kid too. It's amazing what you can learn about language through jokes.
