Amusing and depressing book about the lies, scandals and overall misuse and abuse of power. The book is interesting and I would recommend it for anyone interested in the scandalous part of Presidential history.

Politics, n. A strife of interests masquerading as a contest of principles. The conduct of public affairs for private advantage.

Love, love, love this book! It's a fun read that you can pick up and put down at any time. Not everyone will be pleased - bear in mind that your favorite president might get some harsh treatment - but all in all, it's a quirky book on the order of Hollywood Babylon. Lots of gossip that happens to be true!

This book was a cute and quirky romp through the lives of various presidents. While some of the info may be known if you are up on your history, they are in a concise handy setting. I enjoyed the book and would read it again.

This is represented as non-fiction. where, then, are the pages of attribution or an index of where mister boertleion obtained his material? This absence makes the whole project suspect of truth.

I am a presidential buff and most of the material in here i knew, but as for the bedroom exploits of the presidents, who gives a good goddamn? have we reached the point where we have no respect for our cheif executive whatsoever? Ffrankly, I beleive some of his reported boudoir excerpts are fiction, e.g., give me some backup on jayne mansfield diddling JFK when she was eight months pregnant and, even if it were true, who gives a good god-damn.
the writing is good; the layout is wonderful in its use of white space and graphics; the many pages spent on scandals are an excellent review for this codger, and, if he woujld simply attribute his statements in a glossary, indewx, or notes at the end section, i'd move this up to a 45-star rating.
I don't mean to be deprectory about mister B's pciture, but a porky with a bottle of whiskey in one hand and a playboy mag in the other, capped off my a cigar in the mouth, does not make me a believer in the man's literary talents. he was a sergeant in a 30-year career in the Cincinnati PD? note it doesn't detective sergeant.
This is bathroom material, as one reviewer said, only i would argue it has more use than as a reading paper.
Last, but not least, every author should ask themselves before publishing a book: "Is this work going to help humanity or some individual? If Sergeant Boerftlein had asked that question, this book might never have been printed.
