I enjoyed this YA book, though the ending makes me wonder how a trilogy will come out of it.

Part allegory, part horror, part guilt trip and plenty creepy. The old saying "The truth will set you free, But not until it is finished with you, fits this YA story to a T.

Winterkill is quite a slow burner but with enough hints dropped to just about keep me interested. I did guess a lot of the plot points though before they happened.

I've come out of reading this thinking eh it was just okay really.
